Children’s Residential Support Worker / Senior Support Worker

We have positions for Children’s Residential Support Workers and Senior Support Workers at our Children’s Residential Homes around the West Midlands areas

Job Types: Full-Time
(The role involves shift work, including working at night, weekends and bank holidays)

Building on this, we are seeking to appoint experienced and motivated Residential Support Workers / Senior Support Workers who are positive role models and are passionate about creating a culture of care that focuses on the achievements and outcomes for the children we care for.

The Role:
Working as part of a multi-disciplinary team to provide personalised care packages for children aged 12-17
Safeguard children through continued assessment, planning and reviews
Engage and build professional relationships with children
Support children to reach their full potential
Support and be involved in the home’s weekly activities
Work collaboratively with community resources and advocate for children where necessary

The right candidate will:
Having a Level 3 Children Residential Childcare is desirable
Having experience working with children is beneficial. However, we welcome applicants that we feel would have the right aptitude, and life skills to work with children
Have a genuine desire to support others to improve their lives
Promote the identity and self esteem of the children within our care
Good Literacy and communication skills
Patience and empathy towards some of the issues and challenges are faced by children
Able to deal with emotional and behavioral difficulties and stay calm under pressure
Able to work flexibly, including bank holidays, evenings and weekends
